Joanne Blacklock

Joanne graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1997. She has been practicing in Ontario for more than 20 years and has successfully defended her clients in numerous jury and non-jury trials. In 2012, she made the decision to leave a large downtown law firm that she had worked at for many years and founded Blacklock Law Firm on the premise that a specialized firm could provide high quality legal services at a lower cost to the firm’s clients.

Joanne has litigated cases at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. She has also appeared as counsel before the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Joanne has diverse civil and commercial litigation experience, encompassing areas including personal injury, accident benefits claims, property and casualty claims, subrogated claims, product liability, occupier’s liability, municipal liability, tavern liability, insurance coverage issues, contract disputes and construction disputes.
